POWERFACE

has been tearing up the Midwest and East Coast metal scene for over seven years. Crushing and eclectic, POWERFACE never fails to captivate their audience. Their unique, heavy-groove style, dubbed AGGRO-ROCK by MTV?s Matt Pinnfield, gets the crowd all worked up and keeps them there.
Along with playing the 1997 CMJ Music Marathon, and gigging from Ohio to West Virginia, POWERFACE has shared the stage with such acts as Sevendust, Bloodhound Gang, Taproot, Workhorse Movement, Primer 55, Creed, Apt. 26, Crisis, Day In The Life, and G. Love & Special Sauce, and some how still managed to impress and awe this spectrum of listeners. They have headlined several music festivals including Lansing's 92.1 THE EDGE OCTOBERFEST for five years, and the DREAMCATCHERS MUSIC IN THE PARK FESTIVAL in upstate New York. Their EP, ?4 on the Floor,? scored big on all of the college radio charts in the loud rock category, with #1 & #2 adds on several stations and enough spins to get on the charts and work into the top 50 out of 100 in CMJ magazine. The follow up full length album, ?The Method,? took them to an even higher plateau, scoring in the top 30 on CMJ, Gavin, and Album Network. Their latest promo single, Quita Mancha, was voted #4 in the new music jukebox jury at the 1998 Gavin Music Conference.
POWERFACE is about to release their new EP. This self titled CD features five of the band?s newest and finest, and should be released in May. It will be the next evolutionary phase in the band?s life. They?ve stepped up the energy level almost to the breaking point, but yet, kept the groove-laden tone that audiences seem to like so much
